Platform Computing Announces New Vice President of Services
Platform Computing today announced the appointment of Ron Ratzlaff as vice president of services. In this position, Ratzlaff will direct Platform’s consulting team in the development of programs aimed at supporting customer implementations and system integrations both for Platform customers, and for customers shared with vendors such as HP, IBM and Dell, in key verticals such as financial services, electronics, government, industrial manufacturing and life sciences.

Ratzlaff brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Platform. Most recently, he served as country manager, professional services at Sun Microsystems Inc., where he was responsible for managing and growing Sun’s professional services business. In addition, Ratzlaff has held various senior management positions at Compaq, including vice president, professional services, director of Boston operations, marketing manager of software products and services, and application products business manager. He began his career in high-tech as a University Lecturer in Computer Science at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, Africa. Ratzlaff is a graduate of the University of Waterloo where he earned a BA in mathematics with a major in computer science.
