FLEXnet Alliance Program Enables Innovative Solutions and New Revenue Streams

“As a global software services company specializing in custom technology solutions, Aditi recognizes the unique value proposition of FLEXnet’s modular design and flexible capabilities,” said Vinayak Karnataki, VP North America, Aditi Technologies. “Using FLEXnet, we can precisely tailor software licensing and activation solutions to each customer's particular needs. This adds significant value to our own services portfolio, while lowering customers' costs and expediting their time to market.”

“Representing nearly 34,000 companies, Digital River has become a recognized market leader in building, managing and growing online businesses,” said Joel Ronning, CEO, Digital River. “Much of our success can be attributed to our comprehensive outsourced e-commerce model, which integrates our own e-commerce technology and e-marketing expertise with some of the most effective business processes and services available. That’s why we joined the FLEXnet Alliance. Macrovision’s FLEXnet product complements our e-commerce offering and allows us to further enable our consumer and enterprise software customers to more effectively sell online and reduce the cost of managing the release, notification and fulfillment cycles.”

“element 5 helps software publishers succeed in e-business, so we are continually searching for new ways to maximize Internet sales and profitability. With Macrovision’s FLEXnet, we have a broad platform on which to build innovative solutions that expand our customers’ markets and open new revenue streams,” said Gerrit Schumann, CEO, element 5. “Participating in the FLEXnet Alliance puts element 5–and our customers at the forefront of today's most advanced license management technology.”

“GlobalWare Solutions and Macrovision have successfully partnered together to provide joint customers a total outsourced e-commerce solution, a ‘best of the best’ marriage of our world-class PowerCommerce system with Macrovision’s market-leading electronic licensing and activation technologies,” said Eric Holstege, VP e-Commerce, GlobalWare Solutions. “We’re excited about working with Macrovision to take this solution to the next step by leveraging the power of the FLEXnet platform for our customers.”

We joined the FLEXnet Alliance to better serve clients in need of innovative pricing solutions, including usage-based or utility pricing,” said Jim Geisman, Principal, MarketShare. “With FLEXnet, we're able to recommend innovative licensing strategies that deliver greater value to both our clients and their customers, and we can be confident that these strategies can be quickly and easily put into practice.”

“MontaVista has previously partnered with Macrovision to flexibly deliver software while preventing unauthorized use so we are eager to embrace the expanded capabilities of the next-generation FLEXnet platform,” said Sheila Baker, VP of Marketing, MontaVista. “FLEXnet’s modular design will provide customers with more flexibility in how they build their products. Not only will this speed their time to market, it will also reduce R&D costs: a classic win-win for any developer or manufacturer.”

“We joined the FLEXnet Alliance because Macrovision and ON Technology share a common goal of providing IT solutions that allow companies to optimize the utilization and agility of their infrastructures, while driving down cost and complexity,” said Phil Neray, VP of Marketing, ON Technology. “By leveraging the FLEXnet platform, ON Technology can give customers the flexibility of dynamic software provisioning while simplifying the task of managing software license compliance.”

“Licensing is closely linked to the operational and revenue processes of any software company. Softrax’s unique solution for contract renewal, billing and revenue recognition is ideally complemented by FLEXnet’s comprehensive licensing platform,” said Robert O’Connor, President and CEO of Softrax Corporation. “Customers can reduce cost by automating cumbersome, manual processes, while opening critical new revenue opportunities.
