Job Description:
This position will be a key player in QA and testing of a new system product. The essential duties and responsibilities include product requirement and design review, test requirement definition, test strategy and test case design, test tools development, effective testing and quality assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review process enforcement to build quality into product
Participate in design review and component tests
Develop test strategy, procedures and cases based on requirements
Design, develop and execute reusable test plans, ensure effective coverage of test cases to maximize user perceived quality of the product
Investigate and implement new testing methods and tools in order to maximize testing efficiency
Effectively execute test cases
Assess product quality for business people to make release decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline
Minimum 2 years experience in software QA and test
- Broad knowledge on Unix, Windows system internals, grid computing, business intelligence, OLAP
- Hands-on experience with database administration and programming (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL)
- In-depth knowledge and programming experience with Java, J2EE, C++, C, .Net
- Good understanding of product development and product life-cycle management in highly technical environments
- Familiar with product requirement/design review and use case development
- Knowledgeable in product quality metrics analysis and assessment
- Skilled at developing test goals, objectives and test strategy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with purify, purecoverage, TestDirector, LoadRunner, WinRunner, MS Project is a plus.
